Sisolak Administration Announces Two Additional Key Hires

The Sisolak administration today announced two additional hires to the governor's staff. La Niesha Dawson has joined the governor's staff as director of boards and commissions, and the governor has hired Jessica Diss as senior policy analyst. Dawson's first day in the administration was Monday, February 4th, and Diss starts on Monday, February 11th.

"I am thrilled to have La Niesha and Jessica on our team," said Governor Steve Sisolak. "Their many years of experience in Nevada and relationships across the state make them an asset to my administration, and I look forward to working with them on behalf of our state."

Prior to joining Governor Sisolak's office, Dawson served as deputy state director of For Nevada's Future. Dawson previously worked as a committee manager for the Senate Health & Human Services Committee and the Energy Subcommittee in 2017, in addition to numerous electoral leadership roles throughout the state since 2012.

Diss has served as assistant general counsel to the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada for nearly two years. She previously worked as an associate attorney for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and as a government affairs analyst for Snell & Wilmer LLP during the 2013 legislative session. Diss also served in the Washington, DC office of former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
